CERTIFICATE IN ENGLISH

The certificate in English allows students to acquire language skills from two main perspectives: on the one hand, from a communication perspective (focused on the organization and presentation of ideas: oral and written comprehension and production ) and, on the other hand, from a grammatical perspective (focused on the application of linguistic rules: speech perception, pronunciation, semantic and syntactic analysis). This certificate allows the integration of the socio-cultural knowledge of English-speaking societies, with a particular focus on Canada and the United States, and to develop an analytical and critical reflection on major issues in these societies through the study of the language.

The certificate is aimed at students from different backgrounds who wish to study English for academic or professional purposes. They will follow an individual path taking into account their level in each linguistic competence (oral comprehension and expression, written comprehension and expression) and their particular needs.
