Industrial Preparation and Marketing

The Faculty of agriculture and food sciences offers several programs in agronomy, agricultural economics, in agri-environmental engineering, food engineering, consumer sciences, science and technology of food as well as in nutrition.

It includes, by its research projects and activities, several elements in the organic food chain: from production to consumption, passing through all stages of the industrial preparation and marketing. Connections formed by the faculty with the community of agriculture, nutrition and consumption are fundamental for the success for our  students.

Exhibition Fair on Agriculture

Students of the faculty have the opportunity to follow a balanced  approach between the scientific and professional work with  human contact. They may engage in the exhibition fair on agriculture  based on food  and the consumer and organized entirely by students. This is an important event at UGOC.

Agroeconomics appeals to people interested in the humanities as well as to the applied sciences. This bachelor’s degree will allow you to acquire skills in agronomy, economics, business management and development, marketing and marketing of food products and agricultural policies.


The professional master’s program in agroeconomics aims to train professionals capable of rigorously carrying out the stages of an analysis or an intervention in order to propose a solution to a study problem or to question the conditions of practice in agrifood economics. . The essay, which is intended to be a literature review or an economic note, reflects the type of work encountered in a company. In this sense, it differs from a full process of supervised research. Animal production has experienced rapid development in recent years due to the advancement of knowledge in several fields such as biotechnology, nutrition, physiology, reproduction, genetics, breeding management and animal behavior. Along with all these changes, our society is increasingly concerned with respect for the environment and animal welfare. She also wonders about the effects of diet on people’s health. Through this program, you will learn the principles of the scientific method and their application to a particular problem related to animal production. At the end of your studies, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to integrate current knowledge into your field of research and to critically interpret scientific works relating to your field.
