Objective
The knowledge you gain by earning a degree in letters, arts, and sciences can open doors for you and sharpen your communication and analytical skills. You will learn how to hone your leadership abilities, and gain an understanding of the ethical and diversity issues facing all of us.
The goal of the bachelor’s degree in letters, arts, and sciences is to provide an educational background that introduces methods of analysis used in the liberal arts programs. It can also prepare you for the social, cultural, and organizational issues that you may face in a leadership position.
The letters degree is interdisciplinary, and the curriculum is flexible enough to accommodate most students’ interests. Majors take courses in the areas of:
- History (History and the History of Science)
- Literature (Classics, English, Modern Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics)
