PROGRAMS

DEGREES

Thanks to the breadth of research carried out at the School, the training familiarizes students with the roles played by basic and applied research, as well as innovation, in the advancement of the profession and of contemporary society. These concentrations help to train architects sensitive to the challenges of the profession, to new situations or problems and to the changing needs and aspirations of society. Through the types of projects and reflection that they bring into play, these concentrations already challenge the practice of architecture and the students who work there are thus preparing their future as well as that of their profession. Through this combination of design and research, the essay can thus claim to contribute to a broader understanding of the discipline.

The Master of Science in Architecture program is aimed at students interested in research and those who wish to prepare for the pursuit of doctoral studies. It enables holders of an undergraduate degree relevant to the chosen research field to acquire in-depth knowledge of architectural research and mastery of research methods appropriate to the development of knowledge in this field. Its general objectives are: to allow the student to deepen or acquire new training in the field of architecture and its related fields.

The Honors Master of Urban Planning program is aimed at holders of an undergraduate degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or Urban Planning. It approaches professional practice from the perspective of sustainable planning, promoting the adoption of responsible attitudes towards residents, communities and the environment. It also initiates reflection on the rapid transformations that affect living environments and stimulates the development of analytical tools and the search for intervention methods that promote the maintenance of the identity of places and cultural development. and social security of their inhabitants and the sustainability of long-term development.

From a disciplinary training core, it encourages the student to open up to interdisciplinary research and intercultural dimensions, to think in an application context, to maintain links with design and the architectural project.
